Following a request of Jean Jacques, ON5PG, I recorded the signal strength of the British time signal transmitter GBR (300 baud Minimum Shift Keying (MSK) at 15.980 kHz). A clear indication of the sunrise can be seen by a sharp minimum in signal strength:
 
The result of those measurements is used for scientific purposes to find out the backgound of this phenomenon.
